Q&A

Curiosity is a way of turning toward yourself instead of away.
When we meet our inner experience with curiosity rather than judgment, we begin to understand why we feel what we feel, want what we want, and do what we do. Even the parts of ourselves we struggle with start to make sense when we become curious about what they are protecting, carrying, or trying to communicate.
And curiosity opens outward, too. It creates more space between certainty and reaction, allowing us to encounter other people, our circumstances, and the unknown with greater openness and possibility.
The more willing we are to genuinely know ourselves, the more naturally we can live from what is true, rather than from who we think we are supposed to be.
Curiosity is the bridge between you and everything: your inner world, your authenticity, other people, and the life unfolding around you.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a model for understanding and relating to our inner worlds. At its heart is the idea that we are not one fixed, singular self, but beautifully complex inner communities made up of many different parts. “Parts work” is the broader term often used for practices that help us get to know and build relationships with these different aspects of ourselves.
You might have a part that longs for change and another that is terrified of it. A part that wants to be seen and another that would rather disappear. A part that criticizes you, procrastinates, people-pleases, gets angry, shuts down, or tries very hard to keep everything under control. IFS invites us to approach all of these parts with the understanding that they make sense. Rather than trying to eliminate or overpower them, we become interested in them.
Although “parts work” is the common term, I think of it less as work and more as a practice of inner relating, exploration, and inquiry. IFS gives us a language for understanding our inner experience, and over time, that language can become a lifestyle. We begin noticing who is here, listening for what different parts of are communicating, and creating relationships with them rooted in curiosity and compassion.
Eventually, parts stop being something you only explore in a session. They become a way of understanding yourself and moving through the world.

Self-Leadership is not about always being calm, confident, certain, or perfectly regulated. It is about learning to stay in curious and compassionate relationship with yourself through all of life’s experiences.
In IFS, Self refers to the grounded, compassionate presence within us that can meet our many parts with curiosity rather than becoming overtaken by them. Self-Leadership grows as we learn to listen to our parts, understand what they need, respond with intention, and honor the wisdom in their experiences without asking any one part to run the whole show.
This does not mean getting rid of fear, grief, anger, self-doubt, or any other part of being human. It means developing enough trust within your inner community that all of those experiences can belong, while something deeper in you remains available to lead.
The heart of Self-Leadership is becoming someone your whole inner world can trust.

There is no single path through this exploration. You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to change, heal, understand, or even talk about. We can begin with whatever feels most alive for you and get curious together.
You also do not need any previous experience with IFS, parts work, or inner exploration. What matters much more is a willingness to get curious about yourself. This approach tends to be especially meaningful for people who feel genuine interest in getting to know their inner world, are open to trying on the language of parts, and are willing to experiment with relating to themselves in a new way. You do not have to arrive completely convinced. Skeptical, hesitant, or protective parts are welcome here too. What matters is that, alongside them, there is enough openness to wonder, “What might happen if I try this?”
Our sessions are a space to slow down and listen more closely to your own experience. We might explore an inner conflict, follow a feeling or sensation, get curious about a recurring pattern, spend time with grief or uncertainty, untangle a belief, connect with a desire, or simply notice what emerges when you give yourself permission to pause. Sometimes this exploration is tender or emotional. Sometimes it is surprising, creative, playful, or even fun. There is no right way for your inner world to show up. Together, we create a space where your parts are invited to unmask, set down the need to perform, and simply be as they are.
Because I think of parts work as more than something we do during a session, I’ll also invite you to carry this curiosity into your everyday life. You might begin noticing your parts as they arise and building relationships with them between our conversations. There is no homework to get right. It is an ongoing practice of becoming more familiar with yourself. Over time, this way of inner relating can become less like something you practice and more like a language and lifestyle.
As that relationship deepens, you may begin to notice yourself responding differently to difficult emotions, decisions, relationships, transitions, and the unexpected. The intention is not to become a perfected version of yourself, but to develop a deeper relationship with who you already are and greater trust in your ability to navigate your life from within.
Perhaps you’re:
Navigating a life transition or experiencing grief
Feeling ongoing self-criticism, anxiety, or a lack of trust in yourself
Reaching for coping strategies that some parts of you find harmful or unhealthy
Struggling to connect with your anger, needs, or desires
Feeling stuck, lost, or pulled in different directions
Repeating patterns that no longer serve you
Navigating difficulty in your relationships
Seeking your calling or wanting to connect with your inherent gifts
Interested in pre-journey support or post-psychedelic integration
Curious about your dreams and what they might have to tell you
Or sitting with anything else that feels ready to be explored
Your nuances matter. Every detail of your experience is valuable information. Throughout all of it, there is room for every part of you, including the parts that are unsure about any of this. You are not alone, you make sense, and you cannot get this wrong.

If you’re sitting with something big, or interested in deeply understanding your parts, I believe there’s real value in meeting weekly or bi-weekly for at least 3-6 months to build a strong foundation.
Through our time together, my intention is for you to develop a trusting, compassionate relationship with your inner world — one where you feel more and more confident holding space for what’s showing up in your inner world.
After a few months, we can check in to see whether your system could still benefit from regular support (many do appreciate the dedicated container) or if you feel ready to continue your practice more independently. You can't get it wrong! Once you're ready to navigate more independently, you can always return if something feels too big to hold alone.
Once you’ve become an established client, you’re also welcome to book one-off sessions as needed — for moments of acute emotion or polarization, big life transitions, dreaming and scheming, dream analysis, or times when you simply feel called to connect with your inner world in a compassionate space.
You can find my current prices on the booking page (New Clients and Returning Clients). It is important to me that these offerings are accessible to as many people as possible, and I open a limited amount of sessions per month at a reduced rate. If you’d like to be added to the waitlist, please reach out via my Contact Form.

I work with most of my clients on the phone or on video, and also offer a voice note support option for established clients. Through my own journey with this work, I've experienced shifts that continue to ripple into every area of my life.
My inner critics and perfectionist parts have softened. I've stopped trying to earn love or prove my worth. Codependent patterns have relaxed—I trust that others are on the exact right path for them, and I for me. I pause before reacting now, checking in with myself before choosing how to respond. My people-pleasing part has quieted enough that saying no, setting boundaries, and expressing my needs no longer feel dangerous.
Most of all, I trust myself. My own inner wisdom. My own North Star. And for the first time, my choices feel like mine—rooted in authenticity rather than fear, approval, or the parts of me that were simply doing their best to keep me safe.
These shifts don't just bring more ease and joy to my own life—they deepen the way I hold space for my clients, as a living example of what becomes possible when we meet ourselves with curiosity and compassion.

I know that life happens! Parts of us forget, lose track of time, get overwhelmed, avoid things, or have days when something falls through the cracks. These policies aren’t about judging or shaming your system when that happens. They’re a way for me to care for my own time and capacity while creating a coaching relationship grounded in clear communication, mutual respect, and trust. When we both know what to expect, there’s more room for compassion, flexibility, and repair when things don’t go as planned.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, the full session fee will apply. I’m happy to waive the fee if we can easily find another time to meet within the same week, or in the case of an emergency.
Late Arrival & No-Show Policy
If you know you’re running late, please text or email me before our scheduled session begins. I’m happy to accommodate a late start of up to 10 minutes when I know in advance that you’re on your way. We’ll simply use the remaining time in our scheduled session.
If our session begins and I haven’t heard from you, I’ll text you at the 5-minute mark to check in. If I still haven’t heard from you by 10 minutes after our scheduled start time, I’ll sign off and consider the appointment a no-show. The full session fee will apply, and I won’t remain available for the remainder of the scheduled hour.
If I hear from you only after our session has already begun, I may not be able to accommodate a late start. Please don’t assume I’ll remain available unless we’ve been in communication.
A note about emergency contacts: If you indicated on your intake form that you would like me to contact your emergency contact in the event of an unexpected no-show, I will follow the preference you provided and reach out to that person.
